It is with great sadness that we would like to share with you that Mr. R. Arnold
Wakelin, Jr.,Wellesley’s Executive Director of General Government,
and one of the founding members of the Massachusetts Government Finance Officers Association, died early Monday morning, November 8, 2004.
Arnold started his long and illustrious career in Wellesley in
1957. He served as Town Comptroller from 1962 - 1979, Director of Financial Services from 1979-93 and

Internship award goes to Sue Milne in Yarmouth for her proposal on using an intern to set up a golf enterprise fund.
An enterprise fund has been proposed by the town to help resolve concerns about the setting of golf fees and recovering indirect costs. The project will be completed by winter (Jan./Feb.) 2005. She will supervise the project. It has been approved by the Town Administrator.
